Warren Pope Brusie graduated from the San Francisco College of Mortuary Science and moved to Chico to acquire an interest in the funeral home in 1941. In 1942, Warren P. Brusie became the sole owner of the funeral home with his wife, Helen Brusie. Warren and Helen raised two children, Warren and Saralee. Warren P. Brusie expanded his business in 1959, by establishing a new cemetery in Chico , Glen Oaks Memorial Park .
Warren Albert Brusie, followed in his father's footsteps and graduated from the San Francisco College of Mortuary Science. He returned to Chico and worked with his father in the business until his father passed away in 1970, at the age of 61, leaving his son to run the business at the young age of 27. At the time, Warren A. Brusie and his wife, Anne Brusie, had two young children, Marc and Amy Brusie. Warren continued to run the business as his father had until his son joined him in 1990 and his daughter in 1992. Marc and Amy Brusie both became licensed Funeral Directors. Marc Brusie worked with his father at the funeral homes and Amy Brusie worked at the cemetery. In 1994, they purchased Chico Cemetery and Bidwell Chapel from Victor Van Hook.
Marc Brusie married his wife, Janice in 1995. Janice Brusie joined the business as the Chief Finanical Officer in 2000. Marc and Janice are raising two children, Lauren and Chet. Amy Brusie married her husband, Paul Connors, in 2003. Paul and Amy are raising a daughter, Paige. Marc and Amy as third generation Brusies, plan to continue to run the business with the same values as their grandfather and father- personal service, integrity, and commitment to the community.

Warren was born and raised in Chico. He graduated from the San Francisco College of Mortuary Science. Warren was a member of the Army National Guard and was a Platoon Sergeant. He has worked at Brusie Funeral Home since 1958 and is the owner of Brusie Funeral Home, Bidwell Chapel, Glen Oaks Memorial Park, and Chico Cemetery. His memberships include, Chico Rotary Club, Chico Elks Lodge #423, Chico Aerie #218 Fraternal Order of Eagles, Josephine-Chico Chapter #104 Order of Eastern Star,
Chico-Leland Stanford Lodge #111 F. & A.M. Masons, Butte Creek Country Club, Comanche Riders Assoc. Warren sits on the Enloe Medical Center Board of Trustees.
Anne was born in Willows, CA and was raised in Chico, CA. Her memberships include, Enloe Foundation Board of Directors, Discovery Shoppe League, Beta Chapter of Omega Nu, P.E.O. Chapter D.S., and the Altacal Audubon Society.
Marc was born and raised in Chico. Marc has worked at Brusie Funeral Home since 1992. He is a licensed Funeral Director and the manager of Brusie Funeral Home and Bidwell Chapel. Marc volunteers his time with the Far West Heritage Association and is a member of Chico Elks Lodge #423. Marc is a past member of Chico Rotary Club and recipient of the Paul Harris Award.
Janice was born in Arcata, CA was raised in Red Bluff, CA. She graduated from C.S.U. Chico with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism and a minor in Business Administration. She and Marc were married in 1995 and have two children, Lauren and Chet. Janice volunteers her time at the children’s school and is a past member of Beta Chapter of Omega Nu. Janice has worked in the family business since 2000 as the Chief Financial Officer.
Greg was born and raised in Chico. He graduated from the Rancho Arroyo School of Mortuary Science and has been a funeral arranger and embalmer at Brusie Funeral Home since 1972. Greg is a past president of Durham Rotary Club, member of Chico Noon Exchange Club, Chico Elks Lodge #423 and the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 218.
Todd was born and raised in Chico and has been a funeral arranger at Brusie Funeral Home since 1993. He is a member of the Chico Host Lions Club.
Nancy was born in San Francisco and was raised in Lafayette, CA. She moved to Chico in 1980 and has been a bookkeeper since that time. She has worked at the Brusie Funeral Home since 2005.
